About the role#
The Supply & Inventory Planning Intern supports the supply chain team by improving data visibility and reporting accuracy. You will partner with team members to analyze planning data, identify trends, and streamline reporting. This role focuses on developing tools and analysis that help the team make faster, more informed decisions regarding service, inventory, and operational performance.
What you'll do#
- Analyze supply and inventory planning data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards to track inventory levels, supply performance, and operational metrics.
- Clean, organize, and validate data from multiple sources.
- Automate recurring manual reporting through Power BI, Excel, or AI-enabled tools.
- Explore practical AI use cases such as data summarization, exception reporting, and process documentation.
- Prepare clear summaries, visualizations, and recommendations for stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Rising junior or senior status with an interest in supply chain planning and business process improvement.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Exposure to Power BI, data visualization, SQL, Python, or similar analytics tools.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work with large data sets and identify patterns.
- Effective communication, curiosity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new digital tools.
Location & details#
- Location: St. Paul, Minnesota.
- Term: Summer 2027 (12-week program from late May to mid-August).
- Modality: Full-time, on-site.
- Compensation: $22-$25 per hour.
