About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship based in Millersburg, Iowa. You will work on-site to support crop health monitoring and general agronomy operations. This role involves direct interaction with customers and agronomy specialists to provide data-driven insights on field conditions.
What you'll do#
- Inspect customer crop fields using Integrated Pest Management techniques and GPS technology.
- Identify weeds, insects, and diseases that may limit crop yields.
- Document findings through detailed reports and photographs.
- Discuss field results with customers and agronomy specialists.
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of facility equipment.
- Drive a company vehicle to reach various field locations.
- Attend technical training sessions and meetings as scheduled.
- Help with general agricultural retail operational tasks.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A basic understanding of production agriculture.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
- The ability to travel independently to job sites.
- Physical ability to walk through fields for inspections.
- Capacity to lift between 51 and 70 pounds.
