About the role#
As a Retail Agronomy Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in agricultural operations and field scouting. You will support our team by monitoring crop health and assisting with daily agronomy functions to ensure high service standards for our customers.
What you'll do#
- Inspect customer crop fields using Integrated Pest Management (IPM) techniques and GPS technology.
- Identify weeds, insects, diseases, and other threats to crop yields.
- Document and photograph your field findings to create accurate inspection reports.
- Discuss results and recommendations with customers and agronomy specialists.
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of facility equipment.
- Drive a company vehicle to visit various customer locations.
- Attend technical training sessions and meetings to build your professional skills.
- Help with general agricultural retail operational tasks.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A basic understanding of production agriculture.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- A valid driver license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to travel independently to customer sites.
- Physical ability to walk through crop fields and conduct visual inspections.
- Ability to lift 51-70 pounds.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, or wet environments.

- This position is located in Royal, Iowa.
- This is an on-site, full-time internship.
- The role is paid and follows a rolling term.
