About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in New Hampton, Iowa. You will gain hands-on experience in agronomy and field operations while supporting the daily needs of our customers. This role requires on-site work and involves regular travel to field locations.
What you'll do#
- Perform regular inspections of customer crop fields to monitor crop health, identifying weeds, insects, and diseases.
- Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment, including GPS technology, for scouting.
- Document findings through detailed reports and photographs.
- Discuss inspection results with agronomy specialists and customers to provide service and answer questions.
- Assist with general facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
- Participate in technical training sessions and meetings.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Agriculture.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to walk through crop fields for visual inspections.
- Physical ability to frequently lift 51-70 pounds.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and wet environments.
