About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for students pursuing a degree in Agriculture. You will gain hands-on experience in agronomy and operations while working directly with customers in the field. This role is based on-site in New Hampton, Iowa.
What you'll do#
- Inspect customer crop fields to monitor health and identify weeds, insects, or diseases using GPS technology.
- Document and photograph findings to create detailed inspection reports.
- Discuss results with agronomy specialists and customers to answer questions.
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of facility equipment.
- Operate field research and crop monitoring technology.
- Attend technical training sessions and meetings.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Agriculture.
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record are required.
- You must be able to walk through fields for visual inspections.
- You must be able to lift 51-70 pounds frequently.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions including heat, cold, and wet environments.
