About the role#
This internship focuses on hands-on agronomy and retail operations. You will spend your time in the field monitoring crop health and assisting with daily agricultural tasks. This position provides an opportunity to gain experience in field scouting, equipment maintenance, and customer service within the agricultural sector.
What you'll do#
- Inspect customer crop fields to identify weeds, insects, diseases, and other threats.
- Use Integrated Pest Management techniques and GPS technology for field assessments.
- Document and photograph findings, then complete and submit inspection reports.
- Discuss results and findings with customers and agronomy specialists.
- Assist with general facility and equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Operate a company vehicle to travel between field locations.
- Attend technical training sessions and meetings.
- Support additional agricultural retail operational duties.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of production agriculture.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to travel independently to various locations.
- Capability to walk through crop fields for visual inspections.
- Ability to lift 51-70 pounds.
