About the role#
Join Heritage FS as an Agronomy Intern for the Summer of 2027. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting agronomy operations and serving farmer-member customers. This role includes participation in the GROWMARK Internship Program, which features mentorship, professional development, networking, and a capstone project.
What you'll do#
- Support agronomy operations and assist professionals in serving farmer-member customers.
- Conduct field scouting activities to monitor crop health.
- Collect field data and assist with agronomy trials, plot work, and field demonstrations.
- Use precision agriculture tools and technology.
- Manage product inventory, including ordering and receiving tasks.
- Attend required internship events, including orientation, a mid-summer meeting, and a conclusion meeting.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree or certification from a community college, technical college, or university.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight trips.

- Location: Herscher, Illinois.
- Term: Summer 2027, with a minimum 12-week commitment.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
