About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in New Hampton, Iowa. You will work with the AgVantage FS team to support agronomy operations and serve farmer-member customers. The role includes participation in the GROWMARK Internship Program, which features professional development, networking, mentorship, and a capstone project.
What you'll do#
- Assist agronomy professionals with daily operations and customer service.
- Conduct field scouting to monitor crop health and gather data.
- Help with research projects, plot work, field demonstrations, and agronomy trials.
- Use precision agriculture technology for data collection.
- Support product inventory, ordering, and receiving.
- Participate in grower events, customer visits, and educational opportunities.
- Travel to various locations to build relationships with partners and customers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or certification program in agriculture at a community college, technical college, or university.
- A strong interest in crop production and agronomy.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Comfort working in various weather conditions and at elevated heights.
- Ability to work a minimum of 12 weeks starting by May 24, 2027.
- Availability to attend required internship events in May, June, and August.
