About the role#
Join GROWMARK for a Summer 2027 internship based in Hartley, Iowa. This position offers hands-on experience in crop production, field scouting, and precision agriculture. You will work alongside agronomy professionals to support farmer-member customers while participating in the broader GROWMARK Internship Program, which includes professional development, mentorship, and a capstone project.
What you'll do#
- Support agronomy operations and assist professionals in serving farmer-member customers.
- Conduct field scouting activities to monitor crop health and collect data.
- Assist with agronomy trials, plot work, field demonstrations, and research projects.
- Utilize precision agriculture tools and technology for data collection.
- Participate in customer visits, grower events, and educational opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree or certification from a 4-year university.
- Status of at least a second-semester junior or first-semester senior at the start of the internship.
- Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
