About the role#
Join GROWMARK for a summer internship in Newton, Iowa. You will gain experience in crop production, field scouting, and precision agriculture while working directly with farmer-member customers. This position is part of the GROWMARK Internship Program, which includes mentorship, networking, and a final capstone project.
What you'll do#
- Support daily agronomy operations and assist professionals in serving customers.
- Conduct field scouting to monitor crop health and gather data.
- Assist with agronomy trials, plot work, research projects, and field demonstrations.
- Use precision agriculture tools for data collection.
- Complete and present a summer internship project.
- Participate in customer visits, grower events, and required program meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year university degree or certification program.
- Status of at least a second-semester junior or first-semester senior when the internship begins.
- A valid driver license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and at elevated heights.
