About the role#
The IT Intern supports the Information Technology department at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport. You will assist with maintenance and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network systems. This role provides hands-on experience through help desk support, system updates, and infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users for networking, software, and hardware issues.
- Set up, configure, and deploy laptops, desktops, and peripheral devices.
- Perform routine maintenance including hardware checks, software updates, and backups.
- Maintain the IT equipment inventory by organizing and tracking hardware and software assets.
- Create documentation for technical issues, resolutions, and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from an Associates or Bachelors degree program.
- Degree focus in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4-point scale.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity principles.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a background investigation, drug screening, and physical examination.
Location & details#
- Location: Greer, South Carolina.
- Term: Fall 2026 (approximately 20 weeks).
- Schedule: Part-time, on-site.
- Compensation: $15 per hour.
