About the role#
GreenStone Farm Credit Services is hiring a Capital Markets Credit Intern for the summer of 2027. This paid, full-time position is based in our East Lansing office. You will work alongside experienced credit analysts to learn the details of credit underwriting in the agricultural sector.
What you'll do#
- Partner with a Capital Markets Lending Credit Analyst to understand credit underwriting processes.
- Collect, analyze, and present data for various team projects.
- Use financial analysis software to input and evaluate information that supports lending decisions.
- Monitor national agriculture news and industry trends to understand how they affect lending strategies.
- Assist the Credit Leadership team with departmental projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program in Agriculture, Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Sophomore status or higher with a minimum 3.00 GPA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
- A self-motivated mindset and an interest in agriculture.
