About the role#
The Machine Design and Controls Engineering Co-op role provides engineering students with hands-on experience in industrial machinery manufacturing. You will work full-time for an 8-month term, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle from design development to production. You will work alongside experienced engineers and technicians to develop your technical skills and understanding of manufacturing processes.
What you'll do#
- Assist with electrical panel and machine wiring and interpret schematics.
- Develop Bills of Material and support parts ordering.
- Contribute to design development, project quoting, and planning activities.
- Gain experience with CAD design, engineering analysis, and process development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and troubleshoot equipment.
- Participate in company programs to build your professional network and receive performance feedback.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Industrial, Mechanical, Computer, Electrical, or Robotics engineering.
- Expected graduation within the next 3 semesters or less.
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft programs.
- Coursework or exposure to electrical design, automation and controls programming, and electrical power.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating with peers and leaders.

- Terms: Winter 2027, Summer 2027, or Fall 2027.
- Compensation: Paid position ranging from $22.00 to $28.00 per hour.
