About the role#
The Platform Engineering Intern works alongside experienced engineers to support our technology operations. You will gain hands-on experience with the platforms and DevOps toolchain that keep our systems running. This role focuses on maintenance, monitoring, automation, and troubleshooting. We look for students interested in cloud technologies, infrastructure, and the reliable operation of enterprise platforms.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with platform engineers to support the configuration, maintenance, and improvement of core enterprise platforms.
- Assist with automation and CI/CD pipeline tasks using tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve technical platform issues.
- Write SQL queries and assist in optimizing database interactions for data and reporting needs.
- Document technical processes and configuration standards to contribute to the team knowledge base.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Experience with SQL and SQL Server Management Studio.
- Exposure to a major cloud platform such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Familiarity with a scripting or programming language like PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Basic knowledge of Git and source control workflows.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Windows and Office ecosystem.
- Strong communication and troubleshooting skills, plus a willingness to ask questions and learn new tools.
