About the role#
This summer internship offers a professional sales experience within a corporate environment. You will spend 10 weeks learning consultative and strategic selling skills. You will work across core business units while receiving mentorship from sales leaders, established professionals, and former interns who are now full-time employees.
What you'll do#
- Identify new business opportunities.
- Participate in learning activities alongside new full-time employees and other interns.
- Learn to distinguish genuine prospects from other contacts and apply research to your outreach.
- Make prospecting calls and shadow sales professionals during the consultative sales process.
- Collaborate with fellow interns to complete a capstone project.
- Present your project results to senior leadership.
- Participate in community volunteering and relationship-building activities.
What you'll need#
- You are preparing for a sales career and pursuing a bachelor's degree in a business discipline.
- A strong desire to learn and grow through coaching.
- You enjoy competition and are motivated by customer-focused achievement.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- You are curious, outgoing, and seek to build personal connections.
- You thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment.
- Pursuit of a sales certification or participation in a sales club is a plus.

- This is a paid, part-time internship based on-site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
- The term for this role is Summer 2027.
