About the role#
The Assembly Film Internship Program offers a hands-on experience for students and aspiring filmmakers to work directly within Assembly Studios. This paid, 8-week program provides an opportunity to gain practical experience across various facets of film and television production. Only 5 candidates will be selected for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Participate in script reading and analysis sessions.
- Attend roundtable discussions with industry professionals.
- Spearhead the creation of a short film, with the potential for submission to film festivals.
- Assist with day-to-day studio operations.
- Shadow Assembly Studios staff to learn about professional production workflows.
What you'll need#
- Completion or ongoing enrollment in at least one film-related course, certificate, or degree.
- Ability to dedicate 15-20 hours per week for the duration of the program.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Willingness to adapt to the demands of a professional studio environment.
- Reliable transportation to and from Assembly Studios.

- Modality: On-site only.
- Term: September 1, 2026, through October 23, 2026.
- Commitment: Must be available to complete the program without missing more than 2 scheduled workdays.
