About the role#
The Assembly Film Internship Program at Assembly Studios offers an immersive experience for aspiring filmmakers. Participants will gain practical insights into the film and television industry through hands-on involvement in studio projects and operations. This program is designed for students or recent learners seeking to develop their craft within a professional production environment.
What you'll do#
- Participate in script reading and analysis.
- Attend roundtable discussions with industry professionals.
- Spearhead the creation of a short film, with the potential for submission to film festivals.
- Assist with day-to-day studio operations.
- Shadow Assembly Studios staff members to learn about various facets of production.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or completion of at least one film-related course, certificate, or degree.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Availability to dedicate 15-20 hours per week.
- Reliable transportation to and from the studio.
- Majors preferred include Communications, Media Studies, Art, Graphic Design, or Journalism.

- Location: Atlanta, Georgia.
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 1st through October 23rd).
- Modality: On-site only.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
- Commitment: 8 weeks total.
