About the role#
This paid internship program provides an immersive, hands-on experience at KYTV/KSPR. Interns work directly with award-winning teams to gain broadcast expertise and build a professional portfolio. Participants follow a structured four-week training course developed by the news director.
What you'll do#
- Complete a detailed four-week training curriculum.
- Learn technical skills including video shooting, video editing, and content creation for web and on-air platforms.
- Practice writing scripts for both digital and broadcast media.
- Capture video footage and conduct interviews.
- Work assigned shifts, including some holidays.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a college junior or senior majoring in journalism, communications, or a related broadcast field.
- A clear career goal to work in broadcast television.
- A strong interest in learning shooting, editing, and writing for media.
