About the role#
The Future Focus Internship at KYTV/KSPR is a paid, immersive program designed for students pursuing a career in broadcast television. Interns work directly with award-winning teams to gain hands-on experience and professional training in a newsroom environment.
What you'll do#
- Complete a structured four-week training course directed by the news director.
- Learn essential industry skills including video shooting, video editing, and scriptwriting.
- Create content for both on-air broadcasts and web platforms.
- Conduct video shoots and interviews.
- Support station operations, including availability to work during some holidays.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college junior or senior majoring in journalism, communications, or a related broadcast field.
- A clear professional goal to work in the broadcast television industry.
- A strong interest in developing skills in shooting, editing, and writing for media.
