About the role#
As a Strategic Assurance and SOC Services (SASS) Intern, you will join our delivery teams to work on consulting and assurance projects. You will gain exposure to the full engagement lifecycle, from planning and strategy to project wrap-up. You will work closely with staff, managers, and partners to help clients assess their internal control environments and mitigate business risks. This role offers an opportunity to build technical skills and gain a deep understanding of client operations across various industries.
What you'll do#
- Plan engagement strategies, define objectives, and identify business risks and supporting controls.
- Test and evaluate business processes and information technology controls.
- Execute client engagements from start to finish.
- Draft client deliverables and participate in status updates.
- Collect data, obtain control evidence, and document testing results using appropriate methods.
- Perform detailed analysis to identify compliance gaps or areas for improvement.
- Learn and apply new technologies to enhance service delivery.
- Identify business development opportunities and assist with marketing, brand initiatives, and thought leadership.
- Participate in recruiting efforts as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Technology, MIS, or a related field (a Master’s degree is a plus).
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work effectively.
- Desire to pursue professional certifications such as CPA, CISA, or CIA.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid (requires in-person attendance at least three days per week at a firm office or client site).
- Travel: Ability to travel 20%-50% as required.
- Hours: Full-time, with the ability to work additional hours as needed.
