About the role#
As an Audit IT Assurance Intern, you will join our engagement teams to provide IT audit services to a variety of clients. You will work directly with Partners, Managers, and Senior Executives to assess information systems controls and support financial statement audits. This role is a full-time opportunity for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Test and assess information systems controls during financial statement audit engagements.
- Apply your knowledge of IT trends and system processes to identify security and risk management issues.
- Maintain professional relationships with client management to manage expectations and ensure project deadlines are met.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of client operations, business objectives, and internal processes.
- Participate in recruiting and business development activities as needed.
- Meet performance metrics, including billable hours and training requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, MIS, or a related field with a minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Required training or experience in Information Security.
- Strong technical aptitude, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a complex team environment and travel on short notice if necessary.
- Desire to pursue professional certifications such as CPA, CISA, CISSP, CIA, or CISM.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Phoenix, Arizona.
- Work Modality: This position follows a hybrid model, requiring in-person attendance at least three days per week at a firm office or client site.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship. Interns are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, an employee assistance program, paid sick leave, and paid firm holidays.
