About the role#
The Government of Nova Scotia is seeking students for the Future Opportunity Stream within Technology, Innovation & Digital Services. This program builds a pool of candidates for various roles focused on digital strategy, data analysis, software development, and service design. Students will gain hands-on experience by contributing to real initiatives that improve public services for Nova Scotians.
What you'll do#
- Support digital services used by Nova Scotians daily.
- Help shape digital and data strategies.
- Analyze service usage and track meaningful metrics.
- Contribute directly to building and improving digital solutions.
- Collaborate with experienced professionals to share fresh ideas and innovative solutions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program related to Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, International Relations, Cybersecurity, or Human Resources.
- An interest in digital services and how technology improves public services.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new tools and approaches.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
