About the role#
This position is part of the Student Future Opportunity Stream, a centralized intake program designed to connect students with meaningful, hands-on experience within the Government of Nova Scotia. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support digital initiatives that impact how Nova Scotians access government programs and services. These roles offer a collaborative, learning-focused environment where your fresh perspectives and innovative ideas are valued.
What you'll do#
- Support digital services that Nova Scotians use every day.
- Help shape digital and data strategies across various government departments.
- Analyze service usage and track meaningful metrics to create clear insights.
- Contribute directly to building and improving digital solutions.
- Collaborate with teams on projects ranging from software development and technical support to business analysis and data management.
- Participate in engagement activities and contribute to people-centered service design.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program related to Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, International Relations, Cybersecurity, or Human Resources.
- A strong interest in how technology can improve public services.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new tools and approaches.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- A commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.
