Student Future Opportunity Stream - Technology, Innovation & Digital Services

About the role#

The Government of Nova Scotia is seeking students for the Future Opportunity Stream within Technology, Innovation & Digital Services. This program builds a pool of candidates for various roles focused on digital strategy, data analysis, software development, and service design. Students will gain hands-on experience by contributing to real initiatives that improve public services for Nova Scotians.

What you'll do#

• Support digital services used by Nova Scotians daily.
• Help shape digital and data strategies.
• Analyze service usage and track meaningful metrics.
• Contribute directly to building and improving digital solutions.
• Collaborate with experienced professionals to share fresh ideas and innovative solutions.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a post-secondary program related to Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, International Relations, Cybersecurity, or Human Resources.
• An interest in digital services and how technology improves public services.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new tools and approaches.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
