The Government of Nova Scotia is seeking students for the Future Opportunity Stream in Heritage, Arts, and Culture. This centralized intake process allows students to submit one application to be considered for various temporary, full-time positions across the province. These roles provide hands-on experience in museums, historic sites, and cultural spaces, contributing to the preservation and promotion of Nova Scotia’s history.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors and share stories to create engaging museum experiences.
- Support the delivery of interactive programs, tours, and events.
- Assist with the care, maintenance, and organization of historical artifacts.
- Support marketing initiatives, promotions, and special events to strengthen community connections.
- Help plan and deliver interactive events that encourage learning and public engagement.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a high-school or post-secondary program.
- Strong work ethic and a genuine interest in heritage, arts, culture, tourism, or community engagement.
- Ability to communicate clearly and enjoy working with the public.
- Organized and reliable, with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with email and Microsoft Office.
