About the role#
This is a full-time, paid postgraduate student position within the Operational and Service Excellence (O&SE) team at Service Nova Scotia. The team works across the province to identify business pain points and implement process improvement initiatives. This role involves both independent work and team collaboration in an on-site office environment.
What you'll do#
- Manage, develop, and improve the O&SE SharePoint site.
- Assist in the development, rollout, and evaluation of O&SE programs and services.
- Coordinate the implementation of programs and guide business areas through O&SE services.
- Facilitate training offerings and simulations for stakeholders.
- Collaborate on high-stake projects and create visual promotional and communication materials.
- Use Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft 365 tools, including Power Automate and AI, to improve operations and present data.
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite for design tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a postgraduate program related to Business Administration, Operations Management, Public Health, Health Administration, or Data Science.
- Experience in administering, promoting, and interpreting programs or services.
- Above average verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and coordinate tasks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize competing needs.
- Experience building and sustaining professional relationships.
- Assets include exposure to Lean Six Sigma principles and experience with SharePoint, Power Automate, Adobe Creative Suite, Power BI, and AI.
