About the role#
This position is with the Operational and Service Excellence (O&SE) team within Government Services. The team works across the province to help business areas identify pain points and implement process improvements. You will work from our office in downtown Halifax.
What you'll do#
- Manage, develop, and improve the O&SE SharePoint site.
- Assist in the development, rollout, and evaluation of O&SE programs and services.
- Guide business areas and colleagues through O&SE programs.
- Create and facilitate training offerings and simulations for stakeholders.
- Coordinate the implementation of various programs.
- Collaborate on projects and create visual promotional materials using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Use Microsoft Excel and Power BI to present data in dashboards.
- Explore Microsoft 365, Power Automate, and AI tools to improve operations.
What you'll need#
- You are currently enrolled in a postgraduate program in business, management, technical, or a related field.
- Experience in administering, promoting, and interpreting programs or services.
- Strong verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and coordinate tasks.
- Experience building and sustaining professional relationships.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong visual skills and time management abilities.
- Exposure to business process improvement principles like Lean Six Sigma is an asset.
