About the role#
This internship provides practical experience across credit administration, finance, and program delivery for Nova Scotia’s Crown Lending Agencies. You will support programs serving the agriculture, fisheries, aquaculture, and forestry sectors. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will take on assignments of increasing complexity to build skills in analysis, communication, and project coordination.
What you'll do#
- Support the administration of lending applications and accounts by gathering information and reviewing documentation.
- Maintain accurate files, records, and correspondence while assisting with portfolio monitoring and client service.
- Assist with financial reconciliations, performance reporting, and business planning to support sound financial management.
- Conduct research and analyze information to help improve business processes, digital tools, and service delivery.
- Collaborate with colleagues, government partners, and stakeholders to provide professional service.
What you'll need#
- A degree or diploma in business administration, commerce, finance, or accounting, earned within the last three years.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and manage competing priorities.
- Sound judgment when handling confidential information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and emerging artificial intelligence tools within the Microsoft suite.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Bible Hill, Nova Scotia.
- Work is performed on-site five days per week.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The term is one year, with an anticipated start date of November 1, 2026.
