About the role#
Good Samaritan is hiring a Graduate Extern for the Medical Surgical unit. This full-time position is based in Vincennes, Indiana. You will report to a Registered Nurse and remain accountable to the Nurse Manager.
What you'll do#
- Assist patients with their daily living activities.
- Collect, report, and document patient information to support care delivery.
- Provide care that considers the age-specific and developmental needs of patients and their families.
- Maintain the knowledge and skills required to perform tasks according to hospital policy and procedure.
What you'll need#
- You must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- You are expected to complete the Indiana State Board Examination within 60 days of graduation.
