About the role#
GlobalFoundries is looking for an Investor Relations Intern to join the team in Austin for the Summer 2027 term. This project-based role focuses on strategic communication with the investor community. You will work on market intelligence, financial analysis, shareholder research, and the evaluation of new AI tools for our processes.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Investor Relations and Finance teams on specific projects.
- Provide regular progress updates to your manager.
- Research market trends, investor targets, and shareholder activity.
- Support financial analysis, Excel modeling, and the development of reports and presentations.
- Evaluate potential AI tools to improve team efficiency.
- Deliver a formal end-of-project presentation to Finance leadership.
- Follow all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security requirements while working in a safe manner.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least a sophomore and actively pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- An overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Ability to work full-time, at least 40 hours per week.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical, research, and Excel modeling skills.
- Experience with presentation development.
- Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
- An interest in financial markets, investor communications, or shareholder analytics.
- Prior internship or co-op experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and project management skills.
