About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to work within CMC Regulatory Affairs, Strategy and Operations. You will focus on building AI capabilities to support regulatory workflows, helping the team use emerging technologies effectively and responsibly. This role is a full-time, 10-12 week program running between May and August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Design and pilot a curriculum to build AI skills among regulatory professionals.
- Create practical exercises that demonstrate how AI can support regulatory tasks while maintaining human judgment and accountability.
- Develop guidance to help users identify AI limitations like hallucinations, incomplete reasoning, or unsupported conclusions.
- Explore ways to move beyond using AI as a basic productivity tool by identifying opportunities to simplify or redesign existing regulatory workflows.
- Present your work at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, MBA, JD, or PhD program at a nationally accredited U.S. university, with continued enrollment in the Fall semester following the internship.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools and concepts.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be independently authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship.
- Experience developing no-code solutions, automations, or AI-enabled workflows is desirable.
