About the role#
The Finance Shared Services team offers a 12-month co-op position for a student to gain practical experience in the energy industry. You will support a range of invoicing, payment, administrative, and operational activities while learning internal systems and processes. This role provides coverage during peak periods and contributes to system testing and process improvement initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Support Accounts Payable and Shared Services operations.
- Enter Opex and capital invoices into the financial system and post invoice journals.
- Assist with OpenInvoice administration, routing, and weekly payment runs.
- Process truck ticket transactions and provide backup for payment processing.
- Reconcile and balance control accounts.
- Assist with the Corporate Visa program and gather information for audits and year-end reporting.
- Act as a subject matter expert for Accounts Payable software and provide support to Finance and business unit personnel.
- Participate in system testing, process improvements, and special projects.
- Respond to internal and external customer queries.
- Commit to Environment, Health, and Safety (EH&S) programs and policies.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary Finance, Accounting, Business, or related program.
- Availability for a full-time, 12-month co-op term starting in Fall 2026.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

- Location: Calgary, Alberta.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
- You may work part-time hours during the Fall 2026 semester if enrolled in classes.
