About the role#
Gerdau North America is hiring for the G. Start internship program. This is a paid, project-focused role designed to prepare students for future technical and managerial positions within the steel manufacturing industry. You will work on-site during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the G. Start program.
- Complete project-focused assignments.
- Learn to use tools such as Microsoft Suite, CAPEX, and SolidWorks.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student entering your Junior or Senior year.
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Materials Science, Metallurgy Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Leadership experience in student organizations or extra-curricular activities.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, and leadership potential.
- Legal authorization to work full-time in the United States without sponsorship.
