About the role#
George Koch Sons is seeking an Electrical and Controls Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work alongside a team of experienced engineering professionals who provide mentorship and project guidance. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
What you'll do#
- Participate in design, installation, and project engineering tasks.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on technical challenges.
- Gain practical exposure to engineering operations and workflows.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Experience or knowledge of PLC and HMI programming, preferably with Allen Bradley systems.
- Familiarity with network protocols such as Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, or ProfiNet.
- Ability to travel to job sites for extended periods.

- Term: Summer 2027 (11 weeks).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $20 - $22 per hour.
