    About the role#

    As a Supplier Quality Engineer Intern, you act as a technical link between GM purchasing, product engineering, manufacturing, and our supply base. You will work directly with suppliers to resolve manufacturing and quality issues, monitor quality planning systems, and provide technical support throughout the lifecycle of a commodity. This role offers hands-on experience in quality processes and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

    What you'll do#

    • Ensure supplier compliance with APQP processes and PPAP submission requirements.
    • Review and approve supplier quality plans, including Control Plans and PFMEA.
    • Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
    • Visit supplier locations to perform root cause analysis and verify corrective actions.
    • Improve supplier quality performance by conducting onsite workshops and providing technical assistance.
    • Monitor supplier part qualification and certification processes.

    What you'll need#

    • Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial & Systems, Manufacturing, Materials/Metallurgical, or Quality Engineering.
    • Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
    • Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, during the summer of 2027.
    • Note: This role does not provide immigration-related sponsorship.

    • Work Modality: Hybrid (requires reporting to the office at least three times per week).
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Employment Type: Full-time internship.
    • Compensation: This is a paid internship.
