    About the role#

    This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site at our facilities in Waukesha or Pewaukee, Wisconsin. The role requires a 40-hour work week from May or June through August. You will work alongside engineers to complete design requests and support product development across our industrial, commercial, and residential product lines.

    What you'll do#

    • Create 2D cross sections, 3D models, and tolerance stack-ups for parts and assemblies.
    • Develop Pro-E models, drawings, and templates.
    • Manage changes to bills of materials (BOMs).
    • Design, test, and integrate standard components while evaluating their effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.
    • Execute fitness-for-use testing and process validation plans.
    • Collaborate with internal manufacturing partners and designers to optimize parts for manufacturability.
    • Use CAD and CAE systems to produce detailed engineering drawings.
    • Provide technical support for assigned projects and interface with internal personnel.
    • Travel to other company facilities as necessary.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
    • Completion of your sophomore year.
    • Working knowledge of Pro-E or AutoCAD.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer.
