About the role#
This year-round internship provides hands-on experience within the finance organization at GE Appliances. You will work across various teams, including Financial Planning and Analysis, Accounts Receivable, Commercial, Sourcing, and Treasury. The program runs from January 2027 through January 2028, offering exposure to strategic initiatives and professional development sessions with finance leaders.
What you'll do#
- Perform financial data analysis.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports.
- Participate in routine closing activities.
- Assist with operational finance planning.
- Engage in lean methodologies, including digitization and process simplification.
- Participate in company mentoring and networking opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in a 4-year college or university program in the Louisville, KY area.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Minimum 3.0 out of 4.0 overall grade point average.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States. We do not provide visa sponsorship.
- Ability to commit to a full year of work.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Louisville, KY.
- Work is performed on-site.
- You must be able to work 20-25 hours per week during the school year and 30-40 hours per week during the summer.
- You must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
