About the role#
GE Appliances offers a full-time co-op program for students interested in manufacturing and operations. You will support teams working on products like dishwashers, laundry, refrigeration, and cooking appliances, or join the plastics center of excellence. Assignments span areas such as shop operations, process engineering, quality, sourcing, and materials management. This role is based in Louisville, KY, and runs from August 16, 2027, to December 10, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Define goals and objectives for your rotation with your assignment leader.
- Lead teams by influencing across different levels of the business.
- Identify and develop process improvements.
- Assist your team with the development and execution of project ideas.
- Use an analytical approach to solve problems.
- Participate in committees focused on recycling, volunteerism, and social events.
- Attend professional development sessions and network with business leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management.
- A graduation date of May 2028 or later.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Willingness to explore various areas of supply chain, including manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and distribution.
Location & details#
- Location: Louisville, KY (On-site).
- Term: Fall 2027.
- Schedule: Roles are primarily on 1st shift, with start times between 5:30 AM and 8:00 AM. Some overtime and Saturdays may be required depending on the assignment.
