About the role#
GE Appliances is looking for engineering and supply chain students to join our co-op program for the Winter 2027 term. You will gain hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, supporting the production of dishwashers, laundry units, refrigeration, and cooking products. Assignments vary by department, including shop operations, process engineering, quality, sourcing, and materials management. This is a full-time, paid position based in Louisville, Kentucky.
What you'll do#
- Work with your assignment leader to set goals and objectives for your rotation.
- Lead teams across different levels of the business through influence.
- Identify and develop process improvements using your own initiative.
- Assist your team with the development and execution of project ideas.
- Solve problems using an analytical approach.
- Work independently on assigned tasks.
- Meet regularly with your assignment leader to receive feedback.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited bachelor’s degree program or higher in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
- A graduation date of May 2028 or later.
- A cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 out of 4.0.
- Willingness to explore all areas of the supply chain, including manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and distribution.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States. We do not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
- Previous co-op or internship experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership in campus or community roles is preferred.

- Location: Louisville, Kentucky.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 11, 2027 to May 07, 2027).
- Modality: On-site.
- Shift: 1st shift, with start times between 5:30 AM and 8:00 AM. Some overtime or Saturday work may be required depending on the specific role.
