About the role#
We are looking for a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Wastewater Group for the Summer 2027 term. You will work in our Lenexa, Kansas office on water-related infrastructure projects. This position offers hands-on experience alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with design and modeling using Civil3D, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
- Support quality control processes and follow client design standards.
- Assist with design calculations and plan development.
- Participate in field assignments and inspections.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplined design team.
- Engage in an active learning environment with mentorship from experienced engineers.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited program.
- Completion of at least two years of coursework.
- Minimum 2.7 GPA strongly preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Excel is preferred.
- Prior internship or related experience is a plus.
- Involvement in campus, community, or volunteer organizations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
