About the role#
FSB Architects + Engineers offers a summer internship for students interested in interior design. You will work with experienced professionals to turn creative ideas into functional spaces. This position provides exposure to the full design process, from initial concepts and programming to construction documentation and installation. You will contribute to projects across various building types and markets.
What you'll do#
- Assist with interior design, space planning, modeling, visualization, and documentation using Revit.
- Support the selection of finishes, furniture, fixtures, materials, colors, and products.
- Help develop floor plans, elevations, details, finish plans, schedules, renderings, and presentation materials.
- Participate in coordination efforts with architecture, mechanical, electrical, structural, and fire protection teams.
- Contribute to programming, material research, product specifications, and design development.
- Learn how building codes, accessibility requirements, and life safety considerations influence interior environments.
What you'll need#
- You are actively pursuing a bachelor degree in interior design or a related accredited program.
- You have basic familiarity with Revit and interior design, rendering, or visualization software.
- You possess strong communication, organization, and problem solving skills.
- You demonstrate curiosity and initiative in taking on new challenges.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
- The position requires approximately 40 hours per week of availability throughout the summer of 2027.
- Candidates must be able to work on-site for the duration of the internship.
