Job Description: McClelland Consulting Engineers (MCE), an ESP Company, is a regional, multidisciplined engineering consulting firm with more than 160 employees throughout four offices in Little Rock, Fayetteville, Fort Smith, and Rogers. Responsibilities - Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, tests, aerial photographs, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographic and geologic data to plan and design projects - Calculates cost, determines feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data, and prepares detailed cost estimates - Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to create design documents - Prepares and modifies reports, specifications, plans, cost estimates, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for project - Meets periodically to coordinate changes, inform of additional requirements, receive input, answer questions, and resolve issues - Coordinates project activity with supervisor and support staff - Researches regulations, products, and design techniques to provide answers - Preparing illustrative hand and/or computer presentation renderings - Preparing material and imagery boards, planting plans - Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications - Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree (BS) program from an accredited Engineering or Landscape Architecture school. - Detail oriented - Planning, organizing, and coordinating - Leadership - Excellent communications skills - listening, understanding, and responding - Teamwork and Cooperation - Professionalism - Analytical - Creativity - Flexibility - Innovative thinking - Auto Cad and/or Civil 3D - Adobe Suites - Hand drawing, rendering and/or Illustrator skills - 3D experience a plus: Sketchup, Rhino - Working knowledge of native plants Travel Most travel is limited to short or day trips to visit jobsites, meet clients, etc. Overnight trips are not generally required.
