About the role#
The Employee Education and Training Intern supports the development and delivery of on-the-floor training for Operations team members. This hands-on position works with Operations, Human Resources, Environmental Health and Safety, and Food Safety and Quality Assurance teams to improve training materials and employee learning experiences across the facility.
What you'll do#
- Create and maintain on-the-floor training materials, including standard operating procedures, job aids, and visual guides.
- Observe production processes to ensure training content matches real workflows.
- Partner with HR and Operations to identify training needs and improve learning experiences.
- Include safety requirements and food safety standards into training materials.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings and assist with training and development projects.
- Help with assessments and competency checks to measure training effectiveness.
- Collect and organize feedback to improve content.
- Track and document training completion and employee development progress.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited university in Safety Management, Occupational Safety, Learning and Development, Human Resources, or Operations Management.
- Junior status and at least 18 years of age by the start of the program.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- A valid driver license and reliable transportation for travel between plants.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, time, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety practices and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
