About the role#
The Business Development Intern supports our pipeline growth by working alongside the BDR team. You will learn how to engage prospects, uncover their needs, and communicate the value of our software. This is a hands-on role where you contribute real work from day one. You will gain exposure to the early stages of a B2B sales cycle through guided outreach and research. By observing and contributing to prospect conversations, you will develop the consultative instincts that define effective business development.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain targeted prospect lists.
- Assist in generating leads through email, call outreach, social media, and research.
- Support the execution of outbound prospecting activities.
- Conduct research to identify potential clients, markets, and business opportunities.
- Analyze industry trends, competitive offerings, and prospect behavior.
- Support BDR territory research.
- Assist with managing and routing inbound leads.
- Track lead-generating activity from events and marketing campaigns.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Salesforce.
- Assist with data cleanup projects.
- Collaborate on the preparation of outreach materials and messaging frameworks.
- Shadow BDR workflows.
- Support the preparation of reports on business development activities, lead generation, and pipeline status.
- Attend team meetings.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to gather data, identify patterns, and make observations.
- Curiosity about technology.
- Genuine interest in learning B2B SaaS sales from the ground up.
- Organized and detail-oriented approach to work.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
