About the role#
The Commercial Credit Analyst Intern joins our credit analyst teams to build core skills and gain operational knowledge of the bank. You will participate in educational workshops, social events, and community outreach programs while working on a department-specific project. This role provides exposure to financial analysis, credit systems, and financial spreading tools while you work alongside experienced banking professionals.
What you'll do#
- Perform fundamental credit analysis tasks.
- Assist in preparing loan presentation packets for new credit requests, renewals, and annual reviews.
- Spread and analyze financial information for borrowers, guarantors, and related entities.
- Aid in the ongoing monitoring of loan covenants to ensure borrower compliance.
- Verify the accuracy of financial information within credit systems.
- Engage with departments such as Operations, Relationship Management, and Loan Documentation to understand the loan lifecycle.
What you'll need#
- Current university student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Unrestricted work authorization (sponsorship is not provided).
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position.
- The role is based on-site at our Omaha, Nebraska or Kansas City, Missouri offices.
- The internship term is rolling.
