About the role#
The Human Resources Intern supports the team in delivering accurate and people-focused service across the organization. You will gain hands-on experience by working on real projects, collaborating across teams, and participating in development sessions. By the end of the term, you will have a clear understanding of core HR processes and experience supporting recruiting and onboarding.
What you'll do#
- Support recruiting by coordinating job postings, communicating with candidates, scheduling interviews, and following up on applicant tracking.
- Assist with onboarding activities, including preparing materials, managing first-day details, and supporting new hire communication.
- Maintain accurate HR data and documentation in systems and shared files.
- Support learning, compliance, and LMS activities.
- Create HR communications for email, the intranet, monitor displays, and other internal channels.
- Conduct research and prepare summaries or presentation materials to support HR projects, employee engagement initiatives, and process improvements.
- Provide administrative support for general HR activities.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree and have completed your second year.
- You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- This role is based in Dubuque, Iowa.
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship with a rolling term.
