About the role#
Flex-N-Gate is hiring a Human Resources Intern for our Troy, Michigan office. This is a paid, part-time position with a rolling term. You will work on-site and gain experience across various HR functions while supporting our team.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative support for HR executives and general department operations.
- Assist with ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Audit system information and perform testing on new systems to ensure they work as intended.
- Document and maintain administrative procedures for benefits processes.
- Handle data entry, research, and the preparation of HR reports.
- Track project progress, priorities, and deadlines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Prior experience in employee benefits administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft products, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience using HRIS and benefits databases.
- Knowledge of plan designs and benefits contract language.
- Understanding of federal and state regulations, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, and DOL requirements.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects at once and work well within a team.
