About the role#
Flex-N-Gate is hiring a Human Resources Intern to support our automotive operations in Troy. This is a part-time, on-site, paid position. You will gain exposure to various HR functions and build industry knowledge through hands-on experience.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative support to HR executives and the wider department.
- Assist with ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Conduct audits of system information and perform testing on new systems to ensure they meet business requirements.
- Document and maintain administrative procedures for benefits processes.
- Perform data entry, research, and prepare HR reports.
- Track project progress, priorities, and deadlines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience in employee benefits administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with HRIS and benefits databases.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple complex projects at once.
- Knowledge of benefits contract language and plan designs.
- Understanding of federal and state regulations including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, and DOL requirements.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
