About the role#
This is a 12-week paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will join the Treasury Management Product team to support day-to-day operations and specific departmental projects. This role involves working alongside the Senior Director of Payments, Senior Product Managers, and the Product Enablement team to contribute to business goals.
What you'll do#
- Support the Treasury Management Product team with daily tasks and ongoing initiatives.
- Use tools like Excel, Sequel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and project work.
- Participate in department meetings and collaborate across multiple lines of business.
- Learn the roles and responsibilities within the Treasury Management line of business.
- Network with Executive and Senior Leadership throughout the program.
- Take part in a coordinated community service project.
- Present a summary of your internship experience to senior leadership at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program at an accredited college or university.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week from May 17th through August 6th, 2027.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Demonstrated interest in the financial services industry.
- Willingness to travel periodically throughout the First Merchants footprint.
- Strong initiative, enthusiasm, self-motivation, and a team mentality.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
