About the role#
As a Credit Analyst Intern, you will work with our commercial lending team in Madison. This role provides hands-on experience with commercial loan approvals, credit analysis, and bank operations. You will support credit analysts, lenders, and senior managers while gaining insight into how a public commercial bank functions.
What you'll do#
- Input financial statement data into our software to assess the creditworthiness of clients.
- Create Cash Flow worksheets to evaluate a borrower's ability to repay loans.
- Draft credit presentations and memos for the Loan Approval Committee.
- Build data tables and borrower profiles for credit reports.
- Learn our internal loan policies and explain them to other staff members.
- Assist the department manager with various projects.
What you'll need#
- You are pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- You must be graduating in May 2028.
- You have strong technology skills, and Excel proficiency is a plus.
- You communicate clearly in both writing and speech.
- You pay close attention to detail and enjoy solving problems.
- You can manage your time to meet multiple deadlines.
- You demonstrate initiative and a strong work ethic.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship based in Madison, Wisconsin.
- The position is fully on-site.
- The internship runs from Summer 2027 through Spring 2028.
- During the school year, you will work a minimum of 10 hours per week with at least one day on-site.
