About the role#
This internship provides graduate and law students with exposure to the title and financial services industry. You will work in a corporate environment under the guidance of managers and in-house counsel to develop professional and technical skills. This position is for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Conduct legal research to support underwriting decisions.
- Analyze real estate law issues, such as title, lien, foreclosure, and authority matters.
- Review policy forms, endorsements, and underwriting standards.
- Participate in underwriting file discussions and risk analysis sessions.
- Shadow underwriters on active transactions and approval workflows.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited law school as a rising 2L or 3L student.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong legal research and analytical skills.
- Ability to solve problems with attention to detail and sound judgment.
- Professional maturity with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Initiative, productivity, and adaptability in a professional environment.
- A customer-focused mindset.
- Interest in mortgage, real estate, financial services, or title insurance industries.

- Compensation: $30.00 to $34.00 per hour.
