About the role#
The US Newsroom Internship provides a front-row seat to global news coverage. You will work alongside editors and reporters to contribute to our multimedia newsroom. This program includes mentorship from a dedicated buddy and opportunities to present work to US leadership. Interns are expected to work in the office a minimum of three days per week.
What you'll do#
- Pitch, report, and write original news stories.
- Conduct interviews and develop sources.
- Assist senior correspondents with research, document analysis, and reporting.
- Curate newsletters and contribute to digital projects.
- Collaborate with staffers on special projects.
What you'll need#
- A proven interest in journalism.
- Knowledge of or experience in financial journalism, business, economics, or related areas.
- Curiosity about global markets, companies, and economies.
- The initiative to pitch and complete story ideas independently.
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and writing skills across platforms.
- Sound news judgment and high ethical standards.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications, Economics, or Business Administration.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, New York.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027).
- Modality: Hybrid (minimum three days per week in office).
- Status: Full-time, paid ($22 per hour for 40 hours per week).
