About the role#
This co-op position offers practical experience in corporate accounting within a financial institution. You will gain hands-on exposure to the month-end close process, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting. You will work alongside experienced accounting professionals to support the bank's financial operations and risk management processes.
What you'll do#
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
- Participate in internal audits and compliance reviews.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights for decision-making.
- Contribute to team meetings, training sessions, and lean efficiency initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Science, Economics, or a related field.
- Status as a rising sophomore, rising junior, or rising senior.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based immigration sponsorship.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
