About the role#
This co-op position provides practical experience in corporate accounting. You will work with accounting professionals on tasks ranging from the month-end close process to financial and regulatory reporting. You will also support finance transformation initiatives while operating within the bank's risk appetite.
What you'll do#
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure financial data accuracy.
- Participate in internal audits and compliance reviews.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights for decision-making.
- Complete projects and assignments as determined by leadership.
- Attend team meetings and training sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or a related field.
- Status as a rising sophomore, junior, or senior.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
