About the role#
This internship within the Supervision, Credit Risk, and Statistics (SCS) department offers hands-on experience in the financial sector. You will contribute to the oversight of financial institutions within the Fourth District, gaining insight into the regulatory processes that support a stable financial system. You will work on-site in Cleveland, Ohio, for a 10 to 12-week period during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research and analysis regarding the financial condition of institutions within the Fourth District.
- Participate in reviews of state member banks and bank holding companies, including field examinations and the review of regulatory filings.
- Assist teams in identifying business process improvements and efficiencies.
- Design or implement analytical solutions using emerging technologies like AI and machine learning.
- Support data validation efforts to ensure reporting accuracy and integrity.
- Engage in various leadership and career development activities.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Business Analytics, or Data Science.
- You have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and at least one semester of school remaining.
- You possess strong technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL is a plus.
- You have the ability to multitask and work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- You are comfortable working both independently and as part of a group.
- You demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
- You must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or green card holder.
