About the role#
The Financial Management Intern position offers an opportunity to gain practical experience within the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. Interns contribute to real-world projects across various financial functions while receiving mentorship from experienced professionals. This is a full-time, on-site internship for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the execution of current department strategic plans and help develop future initiatives.
- Prepare journal entries, manage the general ledger, and perform account reconciliations.
- Support the annual asset confirmation survey and salvage value review.
- Learn the fundamentals of budget preparation, maintenance, and customer service.
- Prepare and distribute customer reports and develop training materials for engagement strategies.
- Develop new data analytics tools and visualizations for executive-level reporting.
- Assist with the identification, monitoring, and resolution of process risks and controls.
- Collaborate with the sourcing team on procure-to-pay activities and research contract data within Enterprise Resource Planning applications.
- Learn about Agile methodologies and their application in product and tool development.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- At least one semester remaining in your academic program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Access, or familiarity with other data access tools.
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a group setting.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or green card holder.

- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $20.50 to $26.00 per hour, based on background and experience.
